If this story is correct, then Martavis Bryant is suffering from something far worse than stupidity.

Chandler Jones for Jonathan Cooper and a 2nd?

No way Bill was gonna pay Jones after this year, so I guess it's better than nothing.

Assuming that, it's a great trade for the Pats. It's also good for ARI if they can secure an extension with him. That might also bode well for the future of Jamie Collins in NE since they aren't going to open the dump truck for Jones.

Plus Hightower and eventually Butler, too. Maybe. Who knows.

Bill crushed it with that move. They didn't have a 1st, so they try and fix the OL, at the same time getting back a #2 pick in a draft that is absolutely packed with value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Long is one of those guys they usually get, because they've been so good, that they pay virtually nothing and get a lot of value out of.

It will be hard to replace Jones, but having an extra 2 helps.

I think it benefits Arizona a lot too. They have a really talented defense already and they just added more firepower at DE. Great use of the 2nd round pick.

Albert Morris to the Cowboys. I like that move for the Cowboys. But I hate the Cowboys.

I have to think that part of the reason why they did was because of the news they got on Houston.

Oh, I'm sure. I think they would have done everything to bring him back regardless. But I think this made it an absolute rather than a preference.

Houston has always been a fast healer. Hopefully, it will be closer to the 6th month mark than the 12 month mark. We'll see. We did okay without him at the end of last season. The difference this year will be that Tamba needs to rest. He's not gonna be full speed all season. This certainly hurts, but it's not the worst thing. Obviously, it will depend on what other injuries the team experiences.

How's Dee Ford coming along? I presume he was selected as the heir apparent to Hali. I also see that they re-signed the wonderfully named Frank Zombo for some more depth.

This is Ford's year. He made some strides last year but he needs to prove his worth this season. I think he'll come along well. My only concern is whether or not he's an every down player.
