1. friends is awesome and you can never have enough.
2. no this weather sucks, its supposed to be spring but its 12 degrees, freezing and raining. the first day of the game was like the best weather ever too.

This series is strange in that there are so many Tasmania players who are borderline selections, Bailey, Faulkner, Doolan, Hilfenhaus and Paine. In that order. Great first day. Broad in particular bringing the goods and it's nicely poised for the second day. If England can get Australia out for under 300, they should be looking for 500+ in their first innings.

Damn rain forecast for the next few days. England's hope is to get two quick wickets and score quickly. Australia will settle for a draw at this point I'm sure.
