The part I hated most about this album was my kid yelling that my music is bad and lifting the needle when I went to get a beer.

I mean you are right. The Big Come Up is really awesome, and one of the albums (with Rubber Factory) that are really untouchable for them. 20 years in they aren’t the force of nature they were. I appreciate that their sound evolved with them, and that they’ve made some excellent albums that are also fun and easy to listen to, but man those albums with Thickfreakness were on another plain.

It is very similar to Chulahoma in both concept and execution. Chulahoma plays kind of like a long EP and this is full length. The 6 minute Crawling Kingsnake is really good.

yeah, its similar. I only listened to half of it, its ok, kinda boring tough.

I listened once through. I think it is one of those albums that you have to hear a bunch of times to tease out everything they are doing. Is it my favorite of theirs? Probably not even close, but I do like what I hear the first time through.
