My wife got me an original pressing on vinyl about 13 years ago. It was a Christmas gift. I have no idea what she paid for it. We got engaged about ten minutes after I opened it, though.

My ex girlfriend got me one about 2 years ago. She probably paid a couple hundo. She was a good woman. We broke up like a year later though.

Just a heads up that there are now $22.25 a piece @ Amazon. Finally got my preorders in, as I'm sure they'll deliver quicker than SSD.

Hey now. I was planning on waiting and getting them for less than $20 if I can get them at the record store on sale, but this might be too good to pass up if I can get them day 1. My sons might be born around the 6th or so, so these will probably get to the house the same day they do.

So with this Ten re-re-re-release - does this mean my original pressing is worth shit?

I dont either, really, but my friend sold his unopened Beneroya a couple years ago for like $2,300

He bought a new guitar with that, went on a trip, and paid off a CC.

To be fair, when my apartment got robbed in '07, I did think about how the thieves took my laptop and my XBOX but not my Beneroya Hall vinyl. Idiots.

I've opened and listened to every vinyl I've got. They're made to be played.

I'm a collector, but for listening reasons. I buy an album because it's one I'd like to listen to. Not because I think it might be worth a whole lot more in the future.

Though through no fault of my own, i did end up with 2 copies of PJ LIve at 3rd Man Records. Ive left one unopened. Maybe someday that will help with a plane ticket to NYC to visit joey.
