I've always thought that he's been mimicking Jack Black's schick ever since he did the Tenacious D record. Compare his on stage persona on any of the first 3 Foo tours (or Nirvana for that matter). It's like he had a swift personality transplant.
pretty much yeah...i was re watching the foos documentary and kinda remembered how different hiw whole persona was back then. Its like he needs to be the coolest guy in rock everytime everyday. And the music got worse.

I'd like to see Dave do a stripped down solo album and then support it with a Cornell-like songbook tour. Play some new songs, do some Foos hits and deep cuts, covers (he excels at these), and maybe the odd Nirvana song like Pennyroyal Tea.
