I remember liking it in Missoula too; it was a pleasant surprise to hear live.

Every live version I heard was abominable. Ed sounded like he was about to cough up a lung and die right on stage.

I realised after DotC came out that I'd maybe listened to this twice, and honestly couldn't remember it. I went back and just gave it a listen. It's completely forgettable, but I didn't hate it as much as some on here seem to

Yeah, I had a similar reaction. Only listened to it a handful of times when it first came out. Had to go back and re-listen. I think I hate the generic opening riff in Getaway way worse than this.

I remember the initial confusion with thus track. i.e. Whether it was the Christmas single or the Single from their forthcoming album. Didn't we receive 2 different emails stating so?
