During Pearl Jam's Dallas show on Friday, they brought out Carrie Brownstein (of Wild Flag, Sleater-Kinney, and "Portlandia") and "her great friend Annie" (Clark, aka St. Vincent) to cover Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World". Brownstein played guitar, and Clark sang a verse and played tambourine. (Only one tambourine, though.)

He also looks like he's lost a considerable amount of weight. Good for him.
I always feel like he overstates just how fat he is, but at his biggest he was pretty fucking fat.

I won't lie, it was pretty awesome. I went to The Secret Stash (his comic book store) as well. Walt Flanagan was working behind the counter when I was there. It's the same building Ben Affleck & Jason Lee lived in in Chasing Amy (at least the exterior is).
Being in the actual Quick Stop is super surreal.

I have a weird soft spot for film and album cover tourism. I've gone to a lot of the John Hughes spots (Samantha's house from Sixteen Candles, the Home Alone house, the Breakfast Club high school, Ferris Bueller's high school, Cameron's house, stuff like that). Album cover-wise I've done the street from What's the Story (Morning Glory)?, the wall and phone booth from Ziggy Stardust, the hallway from the first Clash album, and the Salford Lads Club. I know there are more, but those are the ones that spring off the top of my head. It's super cool to see some of these places in person.
