The abyss of Julien's system?? Really!! A cup win, another finals appearance within a three year span and you call that an abyss. That system has about the best puck possession numbers in the league, so if Jagr, Seguin and a few others can't score it's not the system. I realize Julien's puck possession system does not work for everyone but if the abyss helps to let me compete for the cup then as a player I'd welcome the abyss.

Yes, Seguin will rack up more points in Dallas. He'll also never have to worry about his nightlife behavior in the month's of May and June affecting his play.

That doesnt mean it was smart to trade him for 20 cents on the dollar.

I think that is totally discounting that Eriksson makes them a better team for the next two or three seasons and what Morrow and Fraser have the potential to be. I am far happier having Eriksson and an extra $2 million cap space to put towards another player than having Seguin alone. I only scored one less goal than Seguin did in the playoffs. I think you are vastly over rating him for at least the first half of his new contract.

It was smart if Seguin continues to party all night long like a rock star and then finds himself passed out in Dorchester Mexico some morning....
