i believe that's also off-limits, at least during the initial phase. what if i sautee them with mushrooms and spinach? would that be weird?

Maybe do a veggie medley. Mushrooms might be weird. I wouldn't mind them but I could see some people being weirded out. Do the garlic, butter (if you can), red peppers, snow peas, broccoli and maybe carrots or watercress. Maybe some bamboo shoots?

This reminded me of a dish I haven't had in a while.

Chili garlic prawns with capers, lime, english spinach and parmesan with angel hair pasta. My wife brought this dish into my life. It may have been the moment I knew.
