Good. I want to move both Vean Gregg and Gaylord Perry up a day to start on their two days off against the Red Sox.Lament wrote:Yeah, this actually seems like a fair change.theplatypus wrote:Since we doubled the length of the season, does that mean I can use a pitcher with 2 games off 4 times instead of twice?
So my rotation for the upcoming games will be
Friday:
Gregg
Perry
Saturday:
Tiant
Feller
Sunday:
Gregg
Covelski
And starting on Monday, my 4 man starting pitcher rotation will be
Perry
Feller
Gregg
Tiant

Is that our first pennant race strategic move?

In that case, lament. Please skip cy young tomorrow and go with pedro and clemens and insert young back into the rotation for saturdays first game and then keep that as the rotation going forward. We should be able to do that with everyone on normal rest.

I do believe it is.@SkitchP wrote:Is that our first pennant race strategic move?
Also, I think the rule should be that if you pitch a guy on two games' rest, you need to give him a full three games' after that before he goes again. This way you can't just have your best pitcher go once every three games for the last few series of the season.

I wont have time to update my spreadsheet tonight, so the only change I know I have going forward is pulling Morris back out of the rotation and subbing Verlander in his place.

Could this be the turning point in the Cubs' season? In game 2 we were down 8-0 in the 5th, and 9-4 in the 9th before scoring 5 in the 9th to force extras and eventually win in 12. The lineup changes seemed to do the trick in the big sweep of Detroit. Hopefully, we can keep it up tomorrow!

It actually feels like there are a lot of big series tomorrow, not just Red Sox-Indians. Tigers-Yankees, Rangers-Cubs, and White Sox-Royals could all end up being turning points for any of the teams involved.

Apparently, Thon was supposed to be the next big thing but got in a car accident or something and was never the same.

At least your team didn't follow up a 7-0 start with a six game losing streak.
