I'm super easy with Chinese food...hot and sour soup, beef with onion and broccoli, shrimp fried rice, extra greasy if possible..

Beef & brocolli is probably the best westernized Chinese dish. Do you request the addition of onions or is that an actual menu item?

Had our annual crawlspace inspection today. The new Vapor barrier we had put in seems to be working and no signs of any critters. I asked the guy about snakes and he said he just came from a house that had a bunch of snake skins in their crawlspace and didn’t want to over concern the home owners but said it was bad enough that he highly recommended they call a snake guy

Curious little guy checking me out on tonight's stroll through the urban wastes.

That raccoon was way too tame. Not good. Probably gonna be road kill soon.
- Couple days ago I came across a dying possum crawling around deliriously while bleeding to death. Saddest goddamn thing. Called animal services to come get it, but I doubt they ever did.
- about a week before that I came across a turtle in the road and couldn't get up the curb, so I grabbed it and moved him off to the stream bank.
- today I saw a raven with all it's tail feathers plucked out. I don't think it could fly. Hopped behind a flower pot when it saw me coming, then scurried the other way when I walked by. I could have sworn I saw a look of shame and regret in its face.
- called my dad and he was talking about the joy he had feeding some deer that came to his property to eat every day, and how he was sad that they'd probably all be shot by hunters soon.
What a cruel universe. Gonna be thinking about that possum for a long time...

And then there is the alternative - living long past usefulness, a shell of our best selves, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

yeah, but it would be nice, if death has to come early, it also came quick.
