WTF was this...it felt like a sketch from SNL about a horror movie. It was really, really bad...that ending? the acting?? Man, this thing is a hit??

Everybody I know has loved it. I've been skeptical from that very first trailer, but I guess I'll have to see it for myself. At some point.

It's not very good, yeah. Some moments of "hell yeah! Get em!" revenge violence. Otherwise, totally weird and I think maybe offensive? I don't know. Hard to get my head around the...ummm, are they metaphors? I don't even know what this movie is.

Its so obvious and weird...its like a really bad sketch of SNL really...even the Obama joke was so weird i thought this one was a comedy.

Alien3 is amazing. Fincher had some massive balls. How the fuck did they let him film the bloody autopsy of a little girl the audience grew to love in the last movie? This movie is ice fucking cold.

Though maybe a lot of it's appeal is cultural. It's a very American film, thematically and textually. Also, it's fucking brilliant. Easily the best film I've seen so far this year.

Literally everything is good about it. Okay, a couple of performances could have been better. But it's a brilliant film.

cultural? Brilliant? i just dont get it...the racial stuff is so in your face, so naive and weird...the horror stuff is poorly shot, very poorly acted..and the end? It was supposed to be funny?

My second favorite of the franchise. And it's a goddamn CLOSE second.

It's like, the first two movies ended on this note of optimism and the promise of hope in a new family. And Fincher's like, no, fuck you. The world is populated by scumbags clinging to religion, desperate for meaning in the face of an uncaring void. The world is run by corporations who don't give a fuck about you or anything you care about. Life is brutal and cruel and absurd and there is no escape. Eat shit.

yeah. And Ripley´s sacrifice is fuckin great...the shot of her going down, Henriksen screaming...Man, i want to see it.
