What a treat this album is. I’m a Gigaton fan and DM is the perfect follow up.

It’s old school Pearl Jam and I’m all for it. I love the little interludes/intros that end/start the songs.

I’m happy for them to record with Watt again.

Waiting For Stevie is amazing.

Scared Of Fear/React Respond are a great one two punch.

Won’t Tell/Upper Hand are special.

Dark Matter sounds epic after Wreckage.

Setting Sun is just masterful.

Running & good To Give which didn’t hit initially but I can’t help sing the chorus of Running. And the Outro of Got To Give is an album highlight.

Got To Give and Running were the two that didn’t hit initially.

Pretty much the same for me. Running took me a while. Was the Stern performance that finally got me.
Well, that...and probably a fair bit of Harmless' enthusiasm for it. :D

One of the working titles for the record was supposedly Projected Feelings

“Homework” and “Pop Quiz” were also considered.

Maybe it was the smoking, maybe all the singing, I dont know, but it just seems like Eddie's voice has deepened a lot over the years. It would be nice if he just wrote songs in his new range, I can't imagine how much better he would sing if he made use of how deep his voice became instead of trying to use the upper part of his range (which admittedly used to be by far the best most magical part, but sadly doesn't always sound so great anymore, especially when he reaches the part where he just has to yell into the mic to try to stay on pitch)

That long road performance does sound good though for the most part. That song, Release, they still have their magic.

I'm liking the new stage backdrop. It's different for them but not in a cheesy way.

I'm OK with him having to belt it out if it means the pitch is reached

Absolutely, Im just picky....he sounds much better in this vid compared to the Got to Give one. This is one that truly still works.

I really like the writing on a projector thing; it's funny and also kind of aesthetic

I said this in the Vancouver tour show thread but...

I am super back in love with this band. Im here for all of it. The teleprompters, the hats, the additional musician, the overhead projector, the visuals. All of it.

Same. I don't think any of this stuff is being done in a cheesy or "un-Pearl Jam" way.

Yup... They ended the Jeff & Ed Bill Simmons interview mentioning that they would go through their batting cage stuff next.
