Agreed. I don't value Backspacer as highly as you do, but Force Of Nature is superb. I also agree that it would have been even better on Yield. When Yield came out I was really hoping for more albums sounding like that, and this is one of those songs that would have really benefited.

I wish I could hear it like you two. You're spot on that it would have sounded better on Yield (along with Amongst the Waves), but FoN sounds like a weak version of Ghost to me and I don't really love Ghost that much.

I think it's right around my second least favorite song in their entire body of work. Certainly bottom 10.

I will duck and cover on this comment, but it more or less reminds me more of Cropduster - not bad enough to hate but not good enough to care about.

Oh, see I adore Cropduster. Probably my favorite song on Riot Act (which is my second favorite PJ album).

Cropduster is fantastic. FoN is basically a snore fest. It’s not terrible, but totally forgettable.

Cropduster rules. I remember hating it for a couple of years after Riot Act was released. Then I realized that we are all wrong sometimes, and it's ok to admit that.

I love how Pearl Jam kicks around their sound on this album, and placed here, Cropduster to me always sounded like Pearl Jam paint-by-numbers.
