Missing the point.

That Fixer recording was indicative of a new sound and direction for the band and they were filming a video?!? Everyone got their knickers in a twist in excitement about it. It's still a great song no matter how much Target/Hipster moaning fell upon it.

These demos will be better no doubt.

Because they only filmed videos for last two albums before Backspacer?

And I wasn't commenting on the song itself, but let's just recap how good that video is in case anyone has forgotten.

I don't think he's talking about the video. I think he's talking about the horrible quality fan recording from it.

Only problem I had with it was the constant crowd noise.

Kind of broke my heart a bit.

I dont think I quite belong there yet. I enjoyed backspacer and gave PJ a pass for a couple years to enjoy and loosen up!

In Stips defence, I heard Backspacer a week or so before it came out and I didn't register track name at all. Only thing that stuck with me was the brevity of the songs. It was over before it started. Oddly enough, Backspacer feels pretty well paced now and doesn't seem short at all.

All killer no filler. Hehe

It was three months before, in fact.
