I feel bad for the guy. He's cops a lot of gay jokes here, but kudos to him for taking them in his stride.
I think it's only fair that he make heterosexual jokes at the rest of us.
Also, rimming isn't gay.
But it can be quite a workout.
Only if you do it right

Any suggestions?
Swimming does wonders for my back and knees.
I love swimming and have been going to the lake to swim a lot this summer. Problem is, there's only one gym in town that has a pool (that i know of) and it's pretty dank.
turned2black, thanks for the suggestion but the bike and the way I sit on it gets painful after a few minutes

Got a horrendous leg cramp yesterday while swimming at my aunt's house. You could actually see the knot in my calf while it was happening. And it lasted a good 10 minutes. My wife reckons I got just a little taste of what a contraction feels like.
Needless to say, I won't be putting in 50 miles this weekend.

Up at 4:30 after 2 hours of sleep. Out the door at 5. Beautiful morning. I was worried about my leg, so I actually stretched for once. Out in 35. Back in 34 with a quarter-mile finishing kick. Canals were packed with runners. September must signal the start of marathon training for a lot of folks.

Was gonna run 20 this morning, but woke up with a sour stomach. 35 out. 34 back with a quarter-mile finishing kick. Easy run and I didn't shit on myself.

Won a small 5k this morning with 19:42. Led the majority of the race and survived a furious burst during the final stretch from my 2nd place nemesis.

I just managed to run 5k without taking a break for the first time. That is quite the success for me as I was a couch potatoe for years and just started running recently. My next goal is to do that in a time that is not too embarrassing too post.

This thread is a good motivation.

Good for you Mike.
Got in a good workout this morning, love my Saturday gymtime. I've been doing a mile plus on the treadmill each time and I tell a difference when I'm doing that consistently versus when I blow off cardio.

Nice work! Holding off a late charge is tough when you're the one out setting the early pace.
I've never actually tasted victory. I've had multiple 2nds and 3rds and several top 10s and 20s, but no outright wins.
Enjoy it.

10 miles in 73 minutes + 40-mile cycle in 2:15
Hit the canals with both older kids in the running stroller. Even split. Windy as fuck, but it was kind of a swirling wind, so I never felt like I got a push or headwind either way. It just kinda battered me the entire way.
Weather cleared up (but got hot) later, so I took to the road on my fixed-gear (nonhipster variety) road bike. I told my friend I would go on a century ride with him at the end of September, so I want to get a couple of rides in before. He laughed at me when I told him my current ride was $79 at Walmart. Slapped my aero bars on it and off I went. Felt great and seemed to hit traffic lights almost perfectly the entire way. Made the mistake of not wearing my bike shorts. My ass hurts. Pretty happy with my time considering the fixed-gear bike.

Quads are wasted from Saturday's cycle. This was a hobblefest the entire way. 38 out. 38 back with a laughable finishing kick. Ouch.

Up at 4:30, out the door at 5. Beautiful post-rain morning. Canals were again packed with people exercising. Ran with this world-class triathlete that I often see on the canals. We met at about mile 2 and he ran out and back to my house with me, including my dinky finishing kick. He pretty much looked like he was going for a Sunday morning stroll. He has such a natural stride. He's been contemplating a switch to ultras, which I encouraged, because triathlons are fucking stupid. Later I thought, "Great, more competition." 35 out. 34 back.

I limit my homosexual activities to seedy encounters with RMers. Interested?
