That show was everything. So fucking beautiful. I wept during "one of these days" and "thrasher"

Guys, Neil.

Sounds like the crowd was pretty bad at all other shows but we seemed to have a decent showing. Of course some call outs and song requests but during the performances people were respectful.

The guy can bring out so many emotions throughout one song. There really isn't much better than hearing Neil Young play his guitar in person whether that is electric or acoustic.

I guess I should see Neil once more if he comes close.

Landing On Water is good.

Build her up and let her down
Tastin' everythin' in town
Treat her right, you never
Treat her right, treat her right.

Now she's gone and you're alone
Bite your fingers to the bone
Slip away,
You feel it slip away, slip away.

You don't know what's goin' on
How you lost it, what went wrong
What ever happened to
The love that you once knew

Northwest tour announced today. I feel super lucky that his Portland show is a solo gig. Being an archive member I got access today & pulled center balcony box seats, my favorite spot in the venue. Fucking $170 each, but it had to be done. So excited.

Neil Young Road to BottleRock Tour Dates

May 17 Portland, OR—Keller Auditorium*
May 18 Spokane, WA—Fox Theatre*
May 20 Seattle, WA—Paramount Theatre^
May 21 Seattle, WA—Paramount Theatre^
May 23 Eugene, OR—Matthew Knight Arena^
May 24–26 Napa Valley, CA—BottleRock

Hmm. So I have never seen this actual video of Neil and the Horse doing Act of Love at the Induction ceremony. Pretty incredible that the night he was inducted into the hall of fame he played an unreleased song. God I love Neil.

And also I see why he ended up using these songs with pearl jam as his backing band.

Also have never seen all that banter and setup in between. Ed calling for Pink Floyd to be inducted.

Kind of a fun piece to watch.

Good thing neil will never die.

Also the difference betweeen bumping a neil thread and a Tom waits thread is that Neil releases an album every week. So a thread bump here is natural.

Tom waits on the other hand? Ugh

Dead Man reissue is worth the $30, it sounds like a dream.

So are the archives streaming only? Is there not a way to hear it otherwise? Kind of a bummer.

Got mine at Rough Trade by work but it’s a wide archives release.

Yeah, this version has no energy or urgency.
