i've done a 180 on orange marmalade after having several pleasurable experiences in scotland a couple years ago. picked up a jar of tiptree recently to scratch the itch.

all these years and we have never watched or paid attention to top chef...we watched the newest one from portland last night...i can't put my finger on it but i just don't enjoy food competition shows like that..probably won't watch any more

The Great British Baking Show is pretty good though.

I only enjoy chill/pleasant cooking shows. GBBO is a competition but everyone is nice and supportive so I love it. Cutthroat reality-style cooking competitions are some of the worst TV ever created.

My mum makes her own grapefruit marmalade. I couldn't believe how much sugar goes into that shit.

Homemade jam/marmalade is great. My ex made english muffins and orange marmalade from scratch over the summer and it was ridiculously good.

I’ve seen several people mention lox here. In Norway the name for salmon is Laks. We love smoked salmon here. Is there a particular form of lox you like?
