I'm not sure what your social/political circles are, BI, but your comment reminds me of my gay fashion illustrator FIT professor uncle, who was surprised that Bush won in 2004 - everyone he talked to was voting for Kerry

really?
do you think this evil man is actually deserving of attention? I usually ignore the jackass at the party in hopes he goes away.
he's running for president, and is polling well. of course he deserves coverage.
Are you sure?
Trump is presenting himself as a nearly comical parody of the low-information, bitter-clinger end of the Republican party and the core message of the party is lost with in the front. He's basically a model of how the progressive left sees them. They couldn't invent a better candidate if given the chance. I don't know a single Republican willing to vote for him in a primary and almost all I know have said they would vote for Clinton if Trump is the nominee. Hmmm.... It's almost like there was a fear that all the failings of the Obama administration would jeopardize the long-term goals of the left and their need to maintain the presidency to regain majority control of the supreme court, so this floppy haired absurdity was created and promoted by the left-leaning media into ensuring there is no real battle for the oval office come November while maintaining the illusion of two-party choice.
WTF

I always thought Trump was brought in from the RNC so people would actually watch the debates.

Its all terrible. Anybody who believes similarly is terrible.
However, I can guarantee you if that was an opinion piece written by a white guy saying he was harassed by a muslim......

I agree. And I was mostly kidding about the Raiders game, although I did fear for my life a few times.

I'd have a guaranteed death wish if I ever stepped into a Raiders home game.

Saudi Arabia has a way worse record-in every category regarding social progress-than Iran.
If you've seen pictures from Iran in the 70's they are indistinguishable from US culture. The CIA installed the Shah in Iran....choosing radicalism over secular nationalism.
And they did the same thing in Saudi Arabia...they created this environment where radical fundamentalists end up running things.
The CIA-so set on this destructive pattern, even went so far as to distribute versions of the Koran, and school textbooks that teach the radical militant side of Islam.
So there's this influence, this push for Arab countries to be ruled by the fringe Muslims, the radicals, etc.
Considering this...in a very real sense the US created the Islamic State, IS.
