Except it's quite clear vaccination numbers aren't going to stop "cases", which is what all the lockdown bullshit seems to be based off of.

Except that in my next post I think - I'd made it clear that it was about not overwhelming the hospitals, which is what they've openly said. Lockdown (except Auckland) is pretty much over from midnight. We might have some more lockdowns down the road, but honestly who cares - it's a minor inconvenience at most for a brief period

I do enjoy the whole WFH thing, but during lockdowns it gets a whole lot harder then just WFH. A few weeks of lockdown is going to have a minimal negative effect, unless you're that far up your own arse that putting yourself out for a wee bit is going to screw you up. The economy is still fine - from Sept last year I think we've had maybe 4 -5 weeks of any level of lockdown here. It's really not a big deal

What about the tourist industry? Fuck those people?
