I hope so. That sounds awesome

This all sounds encouraging. It wasn’t listed as a standout but I’m interested in Take the Long Way because Cameron writes interesting stuff, but also a backing vocalist. That’s a first.

From what I read, 9 of the 12 songs have lyrics from Eddie. That leaves just 3 from the other band members. Not a disaster even if I prefer Eddie writing the lyrics.
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

Eddie has some clunkly lyrics on occasion. Stone and Matt in particular rarely have a line that lands. Jeff, at his best, is okay.

He certainly does. Been listening to his demos recently from previous albums.

Here’s another piece with 10 tidbits about the album. Most are listed in the review but a few are not. On my phone so maybe I missed this being posted.

More importantly Jeff has great bass lines. Unfortunately a lot of it gets buried under Ed.

I think Stone and Matt both have some excellent lyrics.

I'll actually take "boring" over show-stoppingly embarrassing; as long as there's no "Supersonic gone and took my soul / I caught a rabbit but my cock was slow", I'm happy; so I'm hoping "boring" is just "unassuming" here; if it's solid but doesn't try to draw attention to itself, that will be good and even refreshing at this point

I'm excited about background noise / ambience, as well as the possibility that those might cause the tracks to run together; something like the animal snort type noises before "Rival", and we know we have water / ice already; those little auditory flourishes were always archetypally Pearl Jam and I've missed them

I'm only excited by other members writing lyrics because most of the times it means they also wrote/invented the vocal melody. Eddie changes the melody up a bit but the idea is mostly the same which resulted in some really great songs in the past. I would not call the lyrics themselves very good.

Yeah, a lot of my favorite Pearl Jam songs would sound pretty boring if I only read a description of them in a review. Not worried about that one, yet.
