yeah Binaural was hated. I remember Rolling Stone calling it a very shy album from a band that once mattered....it was so fucking funny.

Reading these reviews, I'm cautiously optimistic there is at least more depth on Gigaton. Hell, it even seems like they put forth some effort rather than PJ by the numbers.

Trying not to be too stoked, even though for me DotC is the best thing they've done in over 15 years.

That’s why I love binaural. But even that album is not that much of a departure from their sound or even that experimental, even though I’d say it’s their most “experimental” album along with No Code.
