So you didn’t like it because of this?dimejinky99 wrote:And I didn’t love it either but the Acolyte was beautifully made and had amazing Jedi / force lore and even lightsabers. Nobody liked it cos the leads and cast were black and female, let’s be honest.

But you’re literally accusing everyone else of hating it for that reason. lol dime. The show sucked because of bad writing and acting, not skin color.dimejinky99 wrote:wease wrote:So you didn’t like it because of this?dimejinky99 wrote:And I didn’t love it either but the Acolyte was beautifully made and had amazing Jedi / force lore and even lightsabers. I haven't read the Acolyte thread, but I'll defend dime a little here, in this thread I'm getting the impression he's talking about the fan base at large, not here specifically. Which, if so, he's unfortunately correct. A lot of the hate for that show was disingenuous, especially before it had even aired.E.H. Unrelated, read a Tony Gilroy interview this morning where he mentions Syril recognizing Cassian
Yeah, I dunno if Mendelsohn was always signed onto the project for Season 2, but man oh man, every scene he was in was aces.E.H. Ruddock wrote:That krennec/deidre interrogation scene was awesome

Toryn Farr maybe?bada wrote:Watching the last few episodes and focusing on Kleya Marki. I keep flashing back to the original Star Wars and a woman staring at a screen as the Death Star is getting in position to destroy Yavin. Not sure I'm even remembering that right....maybe it was a woman doing something on a screen on Hoth...in my mind she looks just like Kleya. I'm sure I'm wrong and that character has a name and everything but I think I'll pretend its her.

And of course let’s not forget Kathleen Kennedy and all the shit she gets. Which you seem to have, conveniently.E.H. Andor creator Tony Gilroy speaks up about Kathleen Kennedy's role in making the Star Wars series:
“Kathy just kept saying yes…There’s no show without her. For all the shit that she takes online, it’s just insane. This show exists because she forced it to happen. What a tough job she has, man.”

I dunno. He didn't mention Kennedy at all, until it's years and years later. She hasn't earned it at all. He didn't do a good job making that praise seem set up at all.
