College football is just more fun, and individual regular season games between good teams mean something. The quality of play is obviously worse but the traditions, personalities of coaches, differences in play styles, and its unpredictability more than make up for it.

but at least every team has an actual chance to win it all every year. except the browns, of course.

There's also beating your rival(s), fun non conference matchups, division titles, and trying to beat the juggernauts in college.

they're just playing for different things...clearly most college players will not play at the next level, and it's there last chance at athletic glory...i think that creates a certain level of passion you won't see at the nfl level

I don't like how point inflated/long college football games are these days. Texas-Baylor was over four hours. They need to get rid of the clock stopping on first down. I prefer the rhythm of NFL games a lot more.

nfl field goal kicking has been college level the last couple weeks

Both are way too long. Commercials all the time. Expanded replay, hurry up offenses, and timeouts that last way too long.

There seem to be more instances in the NFL of teams successfully running 4-minute offense and using the clock to vice-grip the other team. I feel like I never see this in college anymore. I like college football still but it's kind of like eating too much candy. All the big plays just kind of run together.

Big 12 games are like arena football games sometimes.

Haha, they really are.

This isn't to say I don't like college football, I just enjoyed it more in the past when it wasn't seemingly ALL spread teams.

I know what you mean. I find myself liking the random teams that have more traditional offenses when flipping through the channels.

Because Jets, Texans, and Titans fans were all realistically thinking in August "this is our year" right?

Anyway - agree that college games with scores like 66-59 really aren't entertaining to me. Give me some DEFENSE. Which is what I love about my Dawgs this year.

The Big XII is crap and won't be around much longer. Before long we'll have four superconferences of 16 teams each (two subdivisions of 8 each), which I'm not in love with, but it will include the likes of Notre Dame and will evolve into a much more objective system of determining who plays for the national championship. It's inevitable. 8 team playoff with the winner of each subdivision earning a spot.

College football will always >>>> pro football for anyone that went to a school with a legit football program. And fantasy football players should be referred to as "fantasy players" not "fantasy owners" for real.

There could very well be a Clemson/UW playoff game, you two better not get too friendly.

The "Cardiac Cats" are testing my patience this year.
