Sorry, I don't understand why the vid isn't showing up in the thread. It's Ed and the Sonics doing a RSD cover of Leaving Here.

Geezes christ that women snapped about 100 photos of Ed within 5 seconds.

that boot was one of the first I ever got. I listened to it damn near every night at the age of 16 from front to back. That version of RITFW is - for me - THE version for pj cover.
Dave is an animal. While I've heard this before (BTW, is there an Apple Lossless or FLAC of this boot still hanging out there?) I don't think I ever saw the video. Dave upstages Ed on this one.

Why, because he slams his head around and lets his hair fly? His drum playing isn't anything special at all on this. It's fine but besides his head banging there is nothing special about his playing that stands him out.

He meant that Dave Grohl is an Animal-- as in a Muppet who plays the drums

It's a decent enough performance. Dave is clearly playing in a manner meant to draw attention to himself; he's hitting far harder than is necessary for the song or for the playing of the rest of the band. On the other hand, it certainly did a fantastic job of amping up the energy level for the band and for the audience.

No Boom. No Matt. No fancy set up. Jack. Ed at his peak. Stone is engaged. Can't ever bottle that up and bring it back, but it's a good thing that we have YouTube. Two Bammers for this one. :bammer: :bammer:
