So yeah, two months isn't bad.
Pearl Jam released a single in 2018 called Can't Deny Me and well, the album, it never came out.

I'm sure they'll do the 15 second snippets that they post on social media but that wouldn't be until some time in April.
It would be pretty surprising if they didn't release a 2nd single in advance of the release date too. It's just a question of when.

I actually have a theory on all of this. I think The Wreckage was supposed to be the first single but was changed at the last minute. Wreckage is the only song from the new album listed with writing credits on ASCAP which leads me to believe it was going to be the lead and why some people posted it was going to be. Now that Dark Matter has been generally well received, I wonder if a 5-minute mid-tempo song is maybe not the best followup to the love for being more heavy and rocking. Curious to see what they do.

Pearl Jam needs to React, Respond to the unexpected reception for their single.

Also why was that video clip never released that's on the PJ website? Is it normal to have a video come out a month after the single was released? Or was it a clip for Wreckage ?

It’s an interesting theory. I think we should run it by 96583UP

I think you may be onto something here.
This also worries me - because it would indicate that the band thought of Dark Matter as a more commercial track or one of more heavier rocking songs on the album
Neither of the above sound very promising to me
Although Dark Matter is a fine track - It's certainly not top tier Pearl Jam song, and not the type of "heavy" or "rocking" that I like.

has "most commercial" ever been the best Pearl Jam though?

I definitely have a hunch that the Twitter intro clip was from Wreckage; I can't wait to hear it

So, are we thinking the next single will be either Friday the 15th or the 22nd?

My guess is next single next week, with a few teasers arriving shortly. But who knows.

I guess I'm thinking Tuesday the 19th at midnight EST, since that's how we got the first one. Might mean a new teaser next Friday.

I'll be in CA at a conference, so this works out well. It means I'll just be up until midnight instead of 2 AM

If true, that would be a truly prodigious output. By volume, that would have to rank in the top 20ish outputs for any single day in their careers!
