He's right. I like DM, but everything about it is several notches below everything on Binaural.

Dark Mattet is at least one full letter grade ahead of Binaural for me. But binaural is also probably getting a little bit of a curve

I feel like Binaural never got it's day, on here. Pretty much all the other records had a bit of a renaissance on rm.. or did i just miss it?

I'm not sure it's needed a renaissance, it seems to have generally been held in very high regard.

that was my first 'tour'. It was a strange time for them and they still got front page/major headlines in the big music publications and beyond.
at that point though, those songs were kinda jarring when set against the previous records, in the live setting. like none have since really.
But thats a good thing looking back on it. if you dont change up you dont grow.
and the Grievance performance on letterman is still the best most seemingly effortless thing theyve ever done. that sold it to all of us.

Matt is in another realm altogether on that

I have now been to ten Pearl Jam shows (one was a short Global Citizen Festival set though), and in that time I have only seen ONE performance of a Binaural song (Sleight of Hand at my very first show in Brooklyn 2013). Im kind of surprised I've never heard any of the others. It's by far my least heard album (I've even heard five performances of riot act songs - 4 different songs and 1 twice). It's weird since you'd think some of the songs are good live

tell me about it. great tour n'all so far, but binaural should always get more love. at the very least, NAIS, Light Years, Parting Ways, and Insignificance should be in regular rotation.
