This seems plausible from a story standpoint, but who would play him?

Be an interesting counterpoint to having Vader In there but doesn't make much sense story wise given the first obi wan hears about what's going on is when Luke comes to find R2. .

*first he's heard of it that we know of, I guess.


You would imagine we'd have to see Princess Leia at the end of this but there's been no word of her at all.

Whole bunch of Ewan McGregor talk. The folks at Collider fully expect he'll be at the SW Celebration coming up and that an announcement will be made that he's doing an Obi-Wan stand alone film (possibly trilogy).

I would like to see Ewan play Obi-Wan again in a stand alone film. I feel like he was wasted in the prequels. But I certainly don't need a trilogy.

I would love a standalone Obi-Wan film with Ewan.

There's a huge demand for as much from McGregor back as obi wan as possible. Not outside the realms of possibility there's gonna be more than one film about him but we're definitely getting one at least.

Yea, I'd love an Obi-Wan movie, I'd love a trilogy even.

He's exactly the right age and there's any amount of stories they can tell in pretty much fertile story space and he wants to do it. He sorta poorly deflected a question about Obi Wans force ghost being in 8 but he was badly acting through a lot of those questions on that interview IMO. Just cos he's not allowed say anything really.
