i'm gonna be a puddle by saturday morning. at least two of those are with my daughter (caroline polachek) and my son (sunday's the national show), and the whole family (friday the national (soccer mommy is opening, and my daughter loves her)).
oh man, soccer mommy is great. i saw her open for stephen malkmus and she played her cover of springsteen's i'm on fire.
i'm really looking forward to that show. i'm a big fan.
in the span of two weeks, i'll have seen boy genius and soccer mommy (not to mention taylor swift and caroline polachek). look at me.

Trying to see as many shows as possible this year. The middle of the year will be quiet thanks to summer in the northern hemisphere, but the end of the year should be busy. Tix for Built To Spill, Spoon and The War On Drugs already secured.

Just finished working the Duran Duran show. Surprisingly, we could hear the whole thing quite well. Other than not playing Union of the Snake, it was pretty enjoyable.
A View To A Kill kicked ass.

Ryan Adams is coming to Huntsville. I support his life choices, but not sure I want to spend $75 on a ticket.

fwiw, I went in with no expectations and left happy. nothing groundbreaking. just a straightforward ass-kicking. I liked the vocal effects Kelley Deal was doing during a few songs. Everyone does a solid job.
would recommend.
