i fail to see the problem with this. he'd double down on the ideological zealot factor just as the more moderate WH crew are scrambling for a way out, so he'd likely strive to bring in more Pence fans, further isolating Trump. Any political capital gained by Meadows in this new role would be essentially useless in 2020, as their party will be a veritable mess, with a huge divide between the social conservatives and the "they took our jerbs" set.
