Burt, I don’t expect you to do this but…
I have had neck and back surgeries, about a year and a half apart. And while it helped the intense sciatic pain I was experiencing, there was still some discomfort in my lower back (right side).
A little over a year ago, my wife and I started going to Pilates. We go to one class a week, twice if we can make it work, and we have things at home that allow for some exercises.
I don’t know your situation, but it has been life-changing. Strengthens the core, and lengthens the spine. We mostly go to the reformer classes, but there are tower, and mat classes as well. Totally worth it.
Obviously, do the PT, if that’s helpful, but I tell anyone and everyone who suffers neck or back pain to give it a try.

Pilates and yoga are excellent for your body. You're a good man, father.
But yeah, I think we know that's not going to happen for Mr. Battlestation. He needed a gun and a 'vette to feel like a man, so he's essentially toast.

I was doing a Pilates workout pretty regularly before I moved last time (just following along with YouTube videos). I found it helpful for the body in general. Don't know about the neck specifically though. Lately I've been lifting weights focusing on back and shoulders and it seems to be relieving some of the smaller muscles that are overworked. I do a lot of shit every morning to keep it from freezing up. I guess I'll have to do that until I die. Fun.
Also no more work all nighters and twelve hour work days. I will miss the days when I could tune out and make art until the sun comes up.
Neck and shoulder surgeries sound scary. very hit or miss. I've known people who ended up worse off, and others that it fixed completely

Whenever I mention the smallest ache, my wife immediately tells me
I should do Pilates and use her reformer more often (the one she uses like once a week).

I guess here in Australia, Queensland pulls the same shit. Then there’s Adelaide, which is a HALF HOUR difference from AEST. Would make
Bammer weep.
The problem lies with the Fuckwit states that actually play with time and bring in arbitrary daylight saving adjustments. The stoic states that accept that time is what it is and don't try to bend it to their whims are the ones keeping it real.
Spoken like a truer WAer.
The "n" and "k" are silent, yeah?

This morning we woke up to a giant tree frog on our kitchen floor. It was alive but looked to be in the house for a while as it looked to be in bad shape. I caught it, it pissed on me, i took it out to the garden and it hopped away.
Then on my way to the hardware store i had to stop and moved a turtle out of the road, and it pissed on me.
These god damn ungrateful critters.
