Its been a long time since i saw this kind of violence in a mainstream movie. Tony Goldywn owns this one. And there are some pretty cool shots here and there...

It was beautiful. I noticed things this time I hadn't before, and in general I was just so floored by the filmmaking. Regardless of what people think of Tarkovsky philosophically, etc., the guy produced some absolutely breathtaking, unrepeatable images.

The Lobster ended up being in my top 5. But for a while it was my absolute favorite film of the year. I goddamn love that movie.

I don't think it was meant to be a strict parody, no. Maybe it was. But I think that would take away from the potency of the whole thing.

For some reason I want to watch "The Circle" because 1) i jsut finished the book and 2) it got awful reviews
