It's my girlfriend's birthday and we had people over for dinner last night and then a bigger group for a proper party tonight. I am all hosted out

I didn’t think your social battery ever ran low.

Hosting stresses me out a bit, especially when I'm trying to make the night perfect for her (and twice in a row)

I hope she put out some good snuggling after that

A crow flew into one of our sliding doors a couple hours ago and is still in the yard, presumably unable to fly. Another crow, its mate I assume, has remained nearby as protector constantly squawking at me and the dogs. Over this, but I don’t want to transport the ailing crow if I don’t have to either.

Let the dogs out. They’ll take care of it.
