The problem is it won’t be two covers. It will be five.

This looks likely. Wonder which ones from Backspacer and Lightning Bolt will survive.CopperTom wrote:Let's hope not.daft twat wrote:The problem is it won’t be two covers. It will be five.
5 from Ten
5 from Gigaton
Corduroy, RVM, DTE, GTF
Probably 2 of: Indifference, RitFW, Baba, Yellow Ledbetter
More than half the concert is basically set in stone.
There will be little to no impact to Backspacer. MYM and LB will rarely be played. The previous album's rockers have been all but abandoned once the next album drops. See Save You, WWS, The Fixer.Anders wrote:This looks likely. maybe we'll get a Gigaton entire album show in San Diego.Bammer wrote:You bottom pagin’ sons of bitches!
I really hope this is no longer true (1/2 show set in stone), but I fear it still might be the case. It's not that I no longer want to hear alive, betterman, RVM, even black for that matter - but place them mid set again. Miss when those songs weren't "encore staples" but just "songs they played last night". (though I did get Betterman to open Cleveland in 06 - that was unexpected) And I wouldn't complain one bit if Baba and RitFW were retired this tour....CopperTom wrote:Let's hope not.daft twat wrote:The problem is it won’t be two covers. Damnit scrub, I just posted that. Probably not a bad idea to release the right before the weekend. You know people are going to be upset.scrub12 wrote:Sounds like they updated to say they’ll send out ticket info Friday.

I would LOVE MYM to die but I dont think it will. They play it so consistently for so many years after the LB songs have faded. I think that is safe and so is LB, which will be like the Unthought known of LB which is the only common backspacer songCopperTom wrote:There will be little to no impact to Backspacer. LB and MYM remain staplesTsuga wrote:I’m looking forward to see if the new material changes their set list formula. A lot of bands I’ve noticed (Wilco for one) seem to mostly abandon the the album prior to the new one they’re touring behind. What LB songs do you think will stick around or will they mostly just play Gigaton with the hits from the first three records and Yield?
No way LB and MYM are played every night. Why would Pendulum appear in the encore? It was almost exclusively a show opener. I'm sure it'll still open a show or two.mikejasond wrote:LB and MYM remain staplesTsuga wrote:I’m looking forward to see if the new material changes their set list formula. Occasionally Pendulum and Yellow Moon pop up in Encore 1
Rest are gone
Yeah, I expect Mind Your Manners to fall into the same category as Save You, World Wide Suicide and Got Some. Songs that were played every night (or close enough to) that immediately disappeared once the band had new songs to put into that slot.CopperTom wrote:No way LB and MYM are played every night.
