I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Eddie Murphy's hosting the Christmas episode on Dec. 21. That's usually a fun one anyway leading into their midseason break.

The thanksgiving sketch was the funniest sink sketch in years. It was brilliant all the way through I thought. My dad - a Fox News viewer - was laughing his ass off. loved it.
Also loved the wizard of oz alt ending. Amazing

So, these cut for time sketches, do they just film the final run through before broadcast?

I know. That’s why I said I guess they record them in order to release these cut for time sketches.

The cameo filled opener was probably the best part of the show; otherwise it was (generously) so so at best. The first two sketches after the monologue was basically the same premise: Jo-Lo's gorgeous. Did we really need another Pete "Chad" bit? There was a minor laugh here & there but it all felt forgettable.
DaBaby made me feel like my dad; old, white, and "that's considered music these days?".
Scarlett Johansen hosts next week before the high expectations Eddie Murphy Christmas episode.

Do you guys think the actual cast members get tired of all these cameo people showing up for these sketches? Or have the feeling like why are they asking other people to play these parts when we’re here?

it's cheap writing, so they probably love it
