I found out a couple details about my friend. He was on the ventilator for 19 days. He had had a tracheotomy and was in a medically induced coma. He had a collapsed lung and on dialysis as well. A horrible, strung out, lonely, expensive, and unnecessary way to die.
While I have such mixed emotions there’s no doubt his family and close friends are grieving.

Why would anyone pearl clutch over a lady who doesn't want to get the vaccine after recovering? Natural immunity is a thing.

Nothing is free. We’re all paying for the vaccines. The pharmaceutical companies didn’t develop, manufacture, and distribute them out of the goodness of their hearts.

From scanning the internet it seems like it was being developed in the 70s, and Japan was the first to use it in the 80s(?). A chickenpox vaccine was first licensed to use in the US in 1995. And maybe other countries approved it later than that. So that's why all of us in the 70s/80s had to suffer.
