Setting everything up for the Alzheimer’s walk this morning. They have secured the services of the (I guess) local band, Blazing Phoenix. Watching the band set up and I wonder how Blazing they will be. The youngest of them looks to be 70 or so and I’ve only seen acoustic guitars. I’ve seen a guy carry drumsticks and bring in a cymbal bag but have seen no drums yet. These dudes hauled everything in a nice trailer but it had to be 2/3 empty judging by the equipment I’ve seen.

Is "Phoenix" a strain of bush weed from the 70s? That could explain a lot.

One of them did just bring in a Tele so maybe the Phoenix will fly after all.

A Strat has appeared

Woah. The Phoenix has a lady fronting the band. Apparently anyway. She’s up in front of everyone else.

She’s also the only one standing.

Drum update: he has a board that, presumably, has rubber pads on it that is the drums. I guess he has foot pedals for the kick and hi hat but the others are all on this board that looks like it isn’t much bigger than an iPad.

They still haven’t started so still no idea if they blaze or fly high.

They now have two ladies up front.
