Recovering from two very intense days at the Devconnect, a forum organized by Ethereum. I only went to the parties and events around it, but yesterday i had three and i was super drunk to actually care about anything.

Lots of interesting people, a few of them i already met at Cannes, and lots of very weird and shady folks too. I met a guy who had a online casino for example.

That dude was weird.

blockchain/crypto is interesting but i went hard on it for a few years and am done with it now. i purged my twitter feed and don’t check the websites or anything like that anymore. Lots of interesting people but also seemingly always an overarching pervasive level of grift amongst most of the players at varying degrees. There are def some real brains and builders but at this point for me the negatives of the scene far outweigh the positives. the technology remains interesting but the VCs, scammers, and religious zealot types can all feel free to fly on elon’s spaceship to mars and live there if they like

first long outdoor bike ride in several weeks

been healing from an AC joint sprain

also got whacked in the nuts by a falling broomstick a couple weeks ago which set me back

felt great to get out

and get back and feel healthy

the first two weeks of my recovery i stayed in the house. when i took that first walk outside it was amazing

Skateboarding into work this morning and my shoelace must have come undone and ended up going under the front wheel of a the board. Felt the tug on my shoe and in that instant knew exactly what had hapened, next instant I was sliding across the concrete. My have sprained my wrists and have a nice graze up my side
