I keep being tempted to make an indie game, but watching all these videos from others and it's like "We were a big success! We only had to work on our game for 5 years and barely made enough to make back the money we spent!"
Fuck man, that is not a success. I make more money peddling a mostly dead art form.

One of my colleagues at the factory got fired yesterday. I don't recall anything like that ever happening in my professional life before, a colleague being fired.

Lot of people getting fired these days. But I'm told that the economy is booming!

Maybe don't continually threaten to punch me in the head a couple years after I got continually punched in the head. Stop bringing it up! You're the bad guy in this story!

They were fired for cause, not laid off

You’ve been working for … 15? 20? … however many years and NEVER had a colleague that got fired?

I got asked to tattle on somebody once and wouldn't do it, but that's the closest I can remember. They definitely wanted to get rid of the person, but needed more reasons. That person was extremely incompetent and annoying and removing them from my office would've increased my quality of work life tremendously, but I can't tattle to management on a union sister. This was like ten years ago, one of my prouder moments

Yes. Be proud you helped an “extremely incompetent” coworker keep her job. That’s what the workforce certainly needs.

As we saw with the backlash to tree's story it depends on the race of the coworker.

Don't listen to these snitches and corporate lackies.
