Short uninteresting story: I had trouble with the final boss in Final Fantasy 9. After 4 tries, I was very discouraged and eventually went on to other games or maybe summer started. About a year to the day, I realize I never beat the game, so I load it up. Beat the final boss on my first try and wondered how the hell I fucked up so many times back in the day. I played through the game once more since then and got through no problem.Monkey_Driven wrote:Sometimes it is good to put a game down for a bit if you find a part too difficult.
definitely true.Monkey_Driven wrote:A game doesn't have to be groundbreaking to be good. I'll post my impressions of the game sometime this weekend after I get in a few hours. I had almost no interest in the game prior to the beta but I had a great time.

i'm just looking at all these people complaining and saying that it's terrible and such. these people set the bar way too high. i just don't know what they were looking for.
Gamespot's review summarizes most of how I feel. You might summarize Destiny by the way in which it wraps up its story. Once the final, hackneyed closing scene finishes, fireteam members are awarded the same weapon, regardless of class, and a handful of currency. This reminder of how wholly unspecial you are is the big finale of a lavishly produced but troubled game that excels in the basics but lacks creativity and heart. It is role-playing grind in shooter form--an empty house built on a firm foundation.
They're releasing two DLCs, no? A zelda themed one and something else, I believe.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Zelda DLC for Mario kart available in November. 2 new circuits, 3 new characters and a couple of karts.

Yes. An animal crossing one. The Zelda one available in November, AC in March. They also have three free Mercedes karts available now.cutuphalfdead wrote:They're releasing two DLCs, no? I am an addict. One of those "just one more try" type games.Monkey_Driven wrote:Velocity 2X is so damn addicting.
yeah, whatever your light totals to is your level thresholdCopperTom wrote:In Destiny, is post level 20 leveling tied to your armor only? I got my first piece of Light armor, but I'm still level 20. I'm a bit confused.
I mean in the sense that it's making me want to buy a PS4 before I originally planned because I want to play it.red calzolaio wrote:is this good or bad?LoathedVermin72 wrote:The upcoming release of Advanced Warfare is really making me question whether I want to updgrade to a PS4...
