A few days ago I went to a coffee place I haven't been to in a few months, and the lady manager there came up to me and said "Mr. Smith we haven't seen you!" and she kinda threw her arms wide, which I, being a Southern gentleman from a hugging culture, took as a signal to hug, so I gave her a hug and said I was still around and would have to come by more. Replaying it in my head, I don't think this person - that I barely knew - wanted a hug, but it was a nice moment nonetheless.spike wrote:Didn’t have this on my bingo card.BurtReynolds wrote:Always down for a hug. Just go in with tongue. They won’t do the kiss greeting next time you see them.spike wrote:Women here like the cheek kiss greeting, so I lean in awkwardly. And I still don’t know if I’m meant to give them a little peck as well. Was kinda hoping Covid would’ve killed this.
