This could possibly be my single favourite time of the week. There's a craft bottle shop right beside my work that has an awesome Mexican food crew that come in every Friday afternoon from 330. So from 4 I knock off, order a few tacos and wander around spending way too much on my Friday night beer selection, to then sit and eat great food, reflect on life and stuff, and just have 15 minutes to myself at the very end of the working week.

Happy Friday y'all.

That sounds awesome. What a great idea from that shop.

Please post in the poop thread after the mexican food and beer hits

Thank you

I shudder to think what WA considers awesome Mexican food. But if Higgs is happy, I’m happy. :heartbeat:

Lol. Certainly not Mad Mex or Guzman and Gomez! These are actual Mexican dudes who do a food van but rent the kitchen out on Fridays. Excellent stuff and not a nacho on the menu (not that there's anything wrong with nachos by the way...).

I am happy, so knock yourself out with joy!

Sounds legit. I dragged the family to a local Mex joint here in America tonight and it was just okay.

Looking forward to some Mex in Chicago next week, another level.

Saw the pictures of Ed with Slash, Watt & Co. and for some reason it reminded me about reading how Slash wears a wig now underneath his famous top hat. That then led me to thinking about Thursday when I got my hair cut.

A guy, probably in his thirties, came in while I was getting the haircut, and I saw from the corner of my eye that someone from the staff took him to the washing place. Suddenly the woman cutting my hair asked me if I could wait a couple of minutes and went to the guy getting ready for hair washing. All the other staff also stopped working and gathered around him, some of them asking him if they could touch his hair.

It turned out that the guy had had a hair transplant somewhere in Middle East (it's probably a lot cheaper there), and I guess the staff were really interested about it. What I thought was interesting was that the guy was really open about it. He was answering their questions, telling what he had to do after the surgery etc. He wasn't trying to hide it in any way from the staff or from the other customers. I mean I'm sure the staff would've noticed it anyways, but still.

I thought the whole situation was interesting, but I really didn't know how to feel about it. I mean it was great that the guy was clearly okay about what he had done, and the staff was also really supportive telling him how great it looked. But I guess a part of me also feels sad about people having to wear wigs or getting hair transplants instead of accepting their baldness.

But I don't know how to do it

My dad just got a hair transplant. His new hairline hasn't quite grown in yet. I don't really understand it but ultimately as far as cosmetic procedures go it seems pretty benign.

Getting plugs is the only cosmetic surgery I could imagine myself ever doing. My hair isn’t thinning yet but if/when it does I am gonna have to start looking at flights to Turkey

Bro, same. My hair hasn't seemed to be thinning at all, but the other day I noticed a decent sized bare spot around the crown. I tried brushing but it didn't really help and I started freaking out googling all sorts of treatment options. The next day after showering I was able to brush over it easily to be minimally visible. It's depressing.

I think I could get eyelid work done. I’ve noticed some drooping of the tops.

I’d never get plugs tho. First sign of actual loss and it’s all going away.

Why so averse to the plugs?

We're still a couple years away but I'm en route to making it to through my thirties with my hair relatively unscathed (and without visible greying, though I know that can change very suddenly). I'm down to shave it all off when it starts looking bad but the one thing that makes me hesitant is I have some scarring on my scalp from skin cancer excisions.

Not worried about hair loss, but it will be white in the next year are two. I'm more worried about growing more hair in random places.
