Just checked my mom into the hospital. She's been feeling ill and tired for a couple weeks but she thought it was just Covid or something. Some blood tests came back alarming and now they're gonna stabilize her and then figure out what exactly it is.

Best wishes to you and your family Jorge. Sounds stupid but she’s in the best place. Trust they will get her through this but also make sure once she is that she follows doctors orders. Don’t let her be stubborn thinking she can just go back to normal. Let her ease back into her normal

Hope she’s okay Jorge, hang in there and stay positive. I just dropped my mom off for a PET scan to determine if she has cancer in her lung.
Let’s be strong for our moms together.

merry xmas eve
woke up and did my core routine, went well despite 5 corona last night
picked up some food for xmas eve bash later
then hit a very satisfying 13 mile bike ride
43 degrees, winds 20-25 mph from the NW
lots of wind resistance
thorough sweat
cold sun
soon food and drink

Made stops to pick up all the supplies needed for Xmas, now back at my sister’s and hoping to crack a beer soon. They’ll get back from the bro in law’s parents’ a bit later.

Ah crap, can’t start drinking til I get a hold of my mom to see when she needs me to pick her up to come over. She doesn’t drive after dark.

Picked up mom just after five, she shared her scan earlier in the day hasn’t ruled out cancer, immediately poured two fat fingers of bourbon upon arrival back.

My nephew got an indoor/outdoor golf game. We just played four holes around the yard in 35 degree weather. At least the sun’s out.

Boxing Day is a thing here so we're going to a friends house 1 hour away and then to see the in-laws at the old folks home and then end up at my best friends house for prime rib and some serious drinking for the weekend...
