Trump says California and Washington travel restrictions possible
President Trump said that travel restrictions to California and Washington, two states hit hard by the coronavirus, are a possibility "if an area gets too hot." Of the more than 1,400 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the United States, Washington state has the most with 341 confirmed cases. New York has reported 327 cases and California currently has 201.

It feels kind of odd reading through all of this and it's still at 'everything's normal' here

My wife works for a large ortho clinic. They are probably going to shut down for at least a month. We have it in a few local hospitals and the ortho docs were told no surgery allowed for the time being.

The real crazy part is that it has barely even started here in the states. Next week I think that tidal wave comes crashing down.

What's going to happen to the election primaries? They make people wait in line for hours and hours. If California was next week theyd have to cancel because it would go over the 250 person gathering cap.

good point - people will still vote and act all triumphant about it.
but then Trump will get ideas about how to suppress voting in the November election (can't do it due to coronavirus! martial law now)

I could see the virus calming in the summer and then coming back with a vengeance in the fall when it gets cold again. Good thing we don't have anything important going on in the fall!

I was thinking about the working remotely debate last night, and how this could be its big moment. Of course, even if employees are productive from home (as has been proven), the economy overall is going to be brutal coming out of this, so this could actually be disastrous for the cause.
