Carlyle is a moron for putting Kessel out there. He had the last change and had to know Scott wasn't out there to score goals.

why put your fighter out after one of your guys already got his clock cleaned in a fight unless you're just looking to be a dink? And is there any bigger dink move than a guy like Scott going after someone like Kessel?

Why would you put your first line out when you know there is going to be another fight? I'm not saying what Scott did was right, but what Carlyle did was just as stupid.

As Carlyle said after the game, he put that line out specifically to prevent a fight. He assumed Scott wasn't going to jump one of those guys.

Great way to kick-start that 7-year contract.

The rest of league is already laughing.

Then he's an idiot. A Sabre just got his ass kicked and Rolston leaves Scott on the ice so his answer is to have his best player on the ice? Scott's a goon, that's what he is paid to be, it's not a secret. You asked whatI would think if that were Vanek? I think he would have let his teamates deal with it and get the hell awY from there. I'm pretty sure Kessrl isn't the first scorer to be instigated, or jumped as people are calling it. Kessel used his stick as a weapon while his teamates fought the big bad guy then he fought a smaller guy. I don't feel bad for him at all. Besides, Toronto definitely gets the worst result with the suspension and susequent cap problem.

I didnt see anything that happened before that scrum, but Kessel needs to at least turtle. I dont care if Godzilla is coming after you you dont swing your stick.

thats retarded. "i think there's gonna be a fight, so let me put a bunch of people who cant fight on the ice" thats like saying "i think the other team is going to score, im gonna pull the goalie"
