Welp.

I like when the same people are posting in this thread and the book thread at the same time. It means that the book people are either
a) expanding on the theories that they're touching on in here, or
b) making fun of the dumb theories of the TV people.

I tried not to make that post. I wrote and deleted a few different versions of it multiple times. I might just go back and delete it all together. I said it was gonna be bad.

Like I said previous, as a book reader, there is nothing that anyone has said in this thread over the last few pages --- including what Spike said, and what Pete put in a spoiler tag --- that isn't IN THE TV SHOW. Yes, there is more to support various theories in the books, but nothing has been said in this thread (at least recently) that isn't supported by the show.

I've definitely heard non book readers speculate that lyana was Jon's mother.

I guess what I'm missing is how just because Ned is Mr. Honor in his later years, which is obvious, that means he couldn't have done something dishonorable in his youth? Time passes, people change. He carries this blanket of civic duty born from honor and what may be guilt left from having a bastard son while away at war. I can also see how that guilt isn't guilt at all, and is rather a conflict of keeping his word to his sister in laws dying wish or being truthful to his queen, but I still don't see how it is a no brainer like you guys are implying.

it was never proven that he lived, please spoiler that name as its only speculative

This thread should only be used for shot-by-shot plot re-caps of the episode we all just watched. Stannis talked to his daughter. Barristan got stabbed. I will not speculate on whether or not he is still alive.
