I've gotten to the point where I just watch for zombie kills and/or big action sequences. So the season has been pretty slow the past couple of weeks.

I liked the Ezekiel episode. A little glimmer of decency and hope in all the head crushing.

Oh. Apparently it's a 90 minute show. Though there were shit ton more commercial breaks.

So Judith is Shane's kid? Was that common knowledge?

Funny Negan didn't punish Carl for shooting at his guy.

Also, anyone know what that smoldering pile of concrete Michonne found was supposed to be? Why was she crying?

I assumed Judith was Shane's.

The burning pile was all of the mattresses that negan just took.

Yea and i am disappointing in this. Every point he tries to get across takes forever. T he same ridiculous swagger and smartassery becomes grating. i really love the character though...or at lest the idea.

the last line he delivered Rick was pretty good though....

The thing I'm disliking most is the lack of flow between episodes and the one episode/one story thing. One week it's a story about the kingdom and that's it. Then it's a story about Daryl and that's it. It's OK to show different story lines in one so episode, we'll able to follow along.

Exactly. Every other show with more than four characters seems to have figured this out. Pacing has always been this show's #1 problem.

It's a cost thing I think. Every episode where a cast member appears they have to be paid for. So if you keep them entirely independent of each other, its cheaper.

I dunno, I kind of enjoy the idea that each episode has taken it's own path so far. It's one thing when they do a 2 hour episode on Morgan...but I've enjoyed every episode thus far this season

To me, it makes it a bigger deal when all of the stories actually intersect...the stories will be fleshed out and when things do come together, it'll be much more clear as to why...at least that's what I'm hoping for...whether they can pull it off or not is a question mark for sure

IM fine with what they are doing but i just dont think it needed 90 minutes to collect the guns. That could have been done in half the time and we could have moved the story along a bit further.

Yup. I get that they needed a way to 'cuck' Rick so that he can rise up again (hence the non-revelation about Judith), and create opportunity to drag out the Neegan thing for multiple seasons by removing Alexandria's ability to defend itself, but that was just stupid. It dragged the whole episode and Jeffrey D. Morgan's Neegan act is obnoxious. His agents seem much more fearsome.

And if they had just shot Neegan through the fence, the whole thing would have been solved already.

I stopped watching this season, but I've run out of westworld and Quarry, so I'm thinking about picking this back up. Is there anything happening beyond abject misery?
