I can still hear same melody but he's definitely singing it down at least an octave and changed his phrasing.

That's a crazy setlist. I'm basically drooling over the prospect of seeing these guys in two days.

You're in for a treat, zeb.
They sound great and seem to be having a blast on this tour.
So thrilled to have heard Flower, Kickstand, Room, Mailman, Hunted Down (Kim's request), Birth Ritual, Limo Wreck...man! It was great.

Funny you say that as Pretty Noose was undeniably a shaky moment in the set but not because of Chris's voice: the tuning of Ben's bass was off and, though he kept trying to correct it as the song went on, he never quite got there and you could tell he really wasn't pleased. I mean, Ben regularly kind of grimaces on stage but this was next level Ben Shepherd grimacing.

the longer sets are generally so good the last couple years, going back to the '13 shows. the only thing they really need to do is embrace the second half of DOTU live

So, so, so much better than the festival set I saw them play in 2012 (the only other time I've seen them).

I'm surprised they didn't play a couple more from King Animal. It's a solid album and SG never really struck me as a nostalgia type band.

I think it's a strong record too, I certainly wouldn't have been disappointed had they thrown a few more in.
Then again, I guess the album is over two years old now so perhaps it doesn't feel like a new record to the band so much as part of their wider catalogue. They still played three songs from it, more than they did from the other records that aren't either Badmotorfinger and Superunknown (which they nearly played
everything from!)

How long are they on for at Soundwave? I assumed it's be a pretty similar time allotment

1.5 for SG and FNM.
