Same here - positive buzz could change my mind but suicide squad, while an interesting concept, hasn't peaked my interest in the slightest,

Also, I know there are a few people that are really excited about this movie so I apologize for being a wet blanket on the fun!

I'm mildly excited about this.

i think the one thing that is going to annoy me with SS is that killer croc is just a guy. Use CGI like the hulk or abomination and make him Killer Crock, not meaner ninja turtle in a foam suit

I agree that SS will not outperform BvS, but I don't think we are very far away from one of these second tier movies outperforming one of the big guns. Blockbuster superhero/comic book movies are no longer the big deal that they used to be. The sheen is almost gone from the novelty of seeing these guys punch and smash through a movie, and I suspect the percentage of fans/movie goers that want quality more than another (Batman, XMen, Avengers) movie is going to become more populous to the point of effecting the bottom line if these 100+ (Or are they more than this?) million budget movies.

Studios aren't going to be able to ride the coattails of these characters' names alone with success much longer. The formula is getting quite bland and the market is becoming over saturated.

I dunno. I get what you're saying, but I'm very skeptical that brand recognition is going to lose its luster any time soon. Star Wars, Batman, Superman, Avengers, what the fuck ever. People eat this shit up, now more intensely than ever. It has a stranglehold on pop culture. Will it reach a breaking point? Probably. I guess it's inevitable. But I don't know how soon that's going to happen.

Over-saturation always has the same effect. It's just a matter of how long it takes.
