Another multiple death shooting, this time in Orlando. Five dead with at least seven injured. Appears to be just the typical, garden variety type we have here in the States though, nothing Radical Islamic Terrorism about it.
New Orleans never gets enough credit as a gang infested, murder capital shithole because of its low population, but they are still trying.
Saturday’s shootings bring to 703 the number of people shot in New Orleans during the last 365 days WWL-TV crime analyst Jeff Asher posted on Twitter Sunday morning.
In comparison, Asher noted, Saturday’s numbers are the per capita equivalent of 90 people shot in a day in Chicago.
Both loaded 9 mm handguns were found during routine screening of carry-on baggage Sunday morning, according to a Monday news release from the Transportation Security Administration.
That makes 14 guns found at the Boise Airport so far this year — on pace to eclipse the 18 guns found at BOI throughout 2016. And 2016’s total was a record, prompting TSA officials to remind the public of the prohibition against carrying weapons onto plane unless they are declared and securely packaged as checked baggage.
No fatalities reported but House Whip Steve Scalise among several shot at a baseball field outside of DC this morning. Thought & prayers and all but if nothing changes nothing changes.
All snark aside that could have been a real tragedy this morning with several dead, including members of Congress. Maybe this will lead to something since those directly effected are in a position to actually do something.

This was political violence, not your normal Chiraq stuff.
